Jon Alpert has been a CFO of consumer products, food and beverage companies for over 25 years. Currently, he is providing consulting, fractional CFO work and Board work for Crispy Green (freeze dried fruit snacks), Raw Generation (juice cleanses), Pop Art Snacks (popcorn), Iconic beverages (protein drinks) and several startups. As a consultant, board member, and CFO from the board, Jon helped KeVita (kombucha and sparkling probiotic drinks) grow from $5 million to $55 million and was a key member of the 3-man team that negotiated the sale of the company to Pepsi for a huge return for investors.
He has helped companies grow profitably, including Happy Family Brands (organic baby food), Apple & Eve (juices), Sensible Portions (snacks), and Beefeaters (dog treats). At Happy Family Brands, he helped the company grow from $30 to $60 to $90 million in two years while installing new reporting systems and preparing the company for a strategic exit. He led the financial due diligence process during the sale of the company to Groupe Danone (parent of Dannon Yogurt). He helped take Apple & Eve from $40 million in sales to $240 million and completed a successful sale to private equity investors on behalf of the owners. He also helped the new private equity owners manage the company through the 2008-2009 recession and financial crisis. In addition, he held various finance and marketing positions in operating divisions of Jos. E. Seagram & Sons. Jon has an MBA from Wharton and a BA from Johns Hopkins.
